What customers say?

“ Highly recommend making a reservation. It’s a popular spot and booked. Beautiful and rustic interior. Great bar area. It was packed otherwise I would have opted to sit there. Good service, they are so busy, they forgot our second round of mimosas. Food is on the rich side but well made and comforting. Fun people watching as well. The portions are also rich so plan accordingly - we could have shared more had we realized how large the portions were. So if you are super hungry - good news, you will be very happy with the portions. Menu is well balanced with many options to pick from. Lot of southern inspired items. The carrots dish was spectacular, the taste the sauce was so good. If you like carrots don’t skip this one. Food on other tables looked amazing too. You won’t go wrong. Book a spot, share plates, get your cocktail on and enjoy life! Cheers! ”

“ Came during a super cold December day. The Kedgerre dish of curried rice, soft boiled egg, and smoked cod felt especially warm and comforting. They also accommodated my request for a smaller pancake portion to try. The buttermilk pancake was as fluffy and delicious as it looks. It came with maple syrup and a side of fruit. Realized the ambiance of this place. Will be back. ”

“ Very warm and cozy space; perfect for the fall and winter. We got the specials, clam chowder, rabbit stew, and their take of the Sunday roast. The rabbit stew was probably the best out of the specials; nice flaky pastry with a flavorful and filling stew. The carrots and kale were good side dishes. We also tried the spoon bread, mainly bc we were intrigued. It’s a generous portion, and the taste/ texture is similar to a cornbread or cornmeal. The apple tart was good, but it was more pastry dough than apple. ”

“ I lined up for the weekend brunch since they seem not taking the reservations turned out they said they do still don’t know how to since online doesn’t show res for brunch. Food is decent. Nothings is very special. Steak is fine. Pancakes are fine. Service are ok. Front staff was very nice. The thing is, we’re 5 of us got a table in the back in the middle round table. It’s way too small for us to get food and drink. I even put our bottle water (we ordered) on the ground but still struggling to find the space to put dishes. Someone please tell me why you line here to eat. ”

“ Went to The Commerce Inn for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The pancake was delicious, it was light, fluffy, and perfectly made and the farmer's breakfast was just as satisfying. The ambience is cozy and inviting, with a European charm that makes you feel like you've stepped out of New York for a bit. Service was warm and attentive, adding to the overall experience. I'd love to come back for dinner sometime, as I imagine the vibe would be just as lovely in the evening. ”

“ A small quaint restaurant with solid food. We shared a bunch of side dishes - the pickled beets, carrots and Spring salad were delicious. We got the Sunday special, the Prime Rib, it was standard. the beans and ham and the spoon bread were just ok. The service was very good ”

“ The Commerce Inn has been on my list for a while, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! Their brunch menu (only served Monday & Sunday, 9–3) features daily specials on a charming chalkboard, and everything we tried was excellent. The buttermilk pancakes (three pieces) were unbelievably fluffy, buttery, and slightly sweet, with the perfect crispy rim—easily some of the best pancakes in NYC. The roast chicken was far from typical: perfectly marinated, bursting with flavor, and topped with crispy (not greasy!) skin, paired with a generous portion of buttery fried potatoes. A delightful detail—the waitress brought out mini hot sauces and ketchup, which was such a cute touch! The lively dining area, warm service, and thoughtful little extras really elevated the experience. I’ll definitely be back soon to try their scones and pastries. A must-visit for brunch lovers! ”
